The computer braille symbol for an underscore is dots 4,5,6. Grade 2 is dots 4,6, which is the same for italics. I think the British and the Australians use a different sign for the underscore in their computer braille.

I use SHIFT DASH on my PC too. That's why I thought it would be some type of variant of this on the BN BT. I first did a SPACE with U, which would make a capital letter in Computer Braille, and then i did dots 3-6, which would be a dash. However, my character seemed to be interpreted just as a dash. Thanks anyway though. : Maria : : > ----- Original Message ----- : >From: "John Gunn" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >To: "Braillenote List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 20:45:22 -0600 : >Subject: Re: [Braillenote] underscore : : >Hello Maria: : : >Really can't comment on your unit but I know with the VN QT using Keysoft5 : >burned in to rom the command is shift dash which for a QT keyboard is : >tipical. : : : >----- Original Message ----- : >From: "Maria Kristic" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >To: "BrailleNote List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2004 3:53 PM : >Subject: [Braillenote] underscore : : : >> Hi Everyone, : >> I was wondering if it was possible to make an underscore character in the : >BN.
