Mine doesn't either. The only time I had my BN do the reset thing was when I was downloading some MP3's and it kept locking up on a certain one. I was using it on battery at the time. Actually, I was copying MP3's, not downloading them. I had about 15 of them in a folder on my compact flash card, and was copying them over to my microdrive. So the fact that you're using a cf and microdrive and are having the problem makes me think it might have something to do with having both of them in the BN at the same time. You might want to take one or the other or both out and see if the problem stops.
