Dear Maria, Prhaps the secret to sending attachments with formatting may be to zip them up. I know when I email the braille files for the Bible, I have zipped them up and people have received the files just fine.
I know the only way to unzip a file with the BN is to change its extension to .shs or something like that, so perhaps it isn't possible to zip up a file using the BN. I could do ENTER with F (CTRL with F) for Font from a Braille document, but this option wasn't in the Format Menu. Also, I suppose you can see more formatting indicators in Edit Mode, and the primary reason I use Layout Mode is if I want to quickly establish how large my line is without having to find line breaks in the document. As the Layout mode spaces the line out, I find it a quicker way to do this than to use the Edit Mode, and sometimes, if I just want to see the amount of indentation a tab will have without seeing the indicator, I use it. Thanks, though, for correcting the part about fonts. I've tried sending stuff as attachments to people using both the BN and PC. I've used indenting and double-spacing. In one case, the formatting didn't come out at all. In another, my text had been completely mixed up, and a 1-page double-spaced document somehow ended up being 2 pages. Maybe I'll try again sometime in the future, but for now, as I don't feel li! : ke experiencing these issues again, I guess I'll just print papers out that have a lot of formatting. Thanks again. : Maria : : >----- Original Message ----- : >From: "Terri Pannett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >To: "Braillenote List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] : >Date: Thu, 25 Mar 2004 20:05:13 -0800 : >Subject: Re: [Braillenote] how do you underline : : >Dear Maria, : : >The fonts do work in braille documents, at least for the QT model.
