Hi Terry,
If you follow Ann's instructions, you should be fine. Thank you so much, Ann,
for replying to this post. I would have done it sooner, but I just got back
from school, and you'd already answered Terry's question about appointments.
Here's the answer to the Computer Braille question you asked Terry: The SPACE
with U does not turn on the Computer Braille. Press BACKSPACE with J, then do
SPACE with U then do a dot 4, and then return to the grade you were using,
which would probably be Grade 2, so you would therefore press BACKSPACE with
dots 1-2 to return back into Grade 2. If you have any more questions about
this, just post. HTH.
Maria

>>Hi Terry,
>>Yes, your steps sound correct. I'm just going to re-phrase them here, if
>>you don't mind, to make sure I understood what you were saying correctly,
>>and I'll just add in some helpful notes which might assist you. What you
>>want to do is enter an appointment in the planner. From the Main Menu,
>>select KeyPlan. At the KeyPlan Calendar, you must first choose a day
>before
>>you can enter the Appointments Menu. I'm not sure if you implied this in
>>your list, but you didn't mention selecting KeyPlan or a day from the
>>callendar before you began talking about appointments, so I'll just go
>>through the commands you can use in case this was the step you thought you
>>might have been leaving out. If, at the KeyPlan Calendar, you press SPACE
>>with dots 3-4, you'll just get an Error Alert Tone. At the KeyPlan
>>Calendar,
>>you can: Select the Day Offered: ENTER; Move Forward a Day: SPACE with dot
>>6; Move Back a Day: SPACE with dot 3; Move Forward a Week: SPACE with dot
>5;
>>Move Back a Week: SPACE with dot 2; Move Forward a Month: SPACE with dot 4;
>>Move Back a Month: SPACE with dot 1; Move Forward a Year: SPACE with dots
>>5-6; Move Back a Year: SPACE with dots 2-3; Type the Date in the Format:
>>number sign, month, number sign, day, number sign, year, an example being,
>>for March 4, 2004, you would enter 3 4 2004. Once you've selected a date,
>>your cursor is either placed at the top of the page for that date, or, if
>>there is existing text, it is put ahead of any existing text. Once you're
>>at this point, you can now enter an appointment. Although you can go to
>the
>>Schedule Appointment Option in the Appointments Menu by pressing SPACE with
>>dots 3-4 and then S, as you suggested, the shortcut to do this is SPACE
>with
>>dots 2-6. You'll be prompted for the day of the appointment, and this is
>>the KeyPlan Calendar, so you can follow the same procedure as explained
>>above to select a day. Press ENTER after doing so. You then have to enter
>>the time in this format: number sign, hour, number sign, minute, then am or
>>pm (e.g.) 4:25 PM would be written as 4 25 am. Then, after pressing ENTER,
>>you're asked for the Title, and you put in the required text. After
>>pressing ENTER, you're asked if you want to set an alarm for the
>>appointment. Press Y for Yes or N for No. If you select No, your
>>appointment is scheduled, and you're done. If you select Yes, you're
>>prompted for a warning time, which is the amount of minutes the alarm will
>>sound before your appointment, and you put in a number between, and
>>including, 0 and 120, as you pointed out. Your appointment is scheduled.
>>FYI, in the Appoints Menu, the other options, which are "Cancel Appoint"
>>"Reschedule Appointment" and "Alarm Status" (which you enter when your
>>cursor is on an appointment, which you can do by pressing any touch cursor
>>button above the cells which contain the appointment's text, and it tells
>>you if an alarm is set or not, and gives you the options to set or clear
>>one, depending on if an alarm is set or not when you enter this option, and
>>it also allows you to change the warning time), can be reached with
>>shortcuts. You don't have to go to the Appointments Menu with SPACE with
>>dots 3-4 and then select C, R, and A respectively; for Cancel, Reschedule,
>>and Alarm Status, the keyboard shorcuts, respectively, are: BACKSPACE with
>>C, BACKSPACE with R, and BACKSPACE with A. The commands for navigating

>>SPACE with dots 1-2-3; Bottom of Current Page (the page on which your
