you just go to
http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/options/braillenote/<your e-mail address
(please note that you replace the @ sign with %40
Then you log on with your password, and on the following page you can set
an option where you just say you don't want to receive mails from this
list. This has the advantage that you're still registered, and you can
switch to receiving mail again whenever you want. Plus, you always have the
opportunity to log on to your personal website and download or check the
list archives.
