Actually, Linda, I once wrote a long message about why I purchased the Braille Note. After all, I had really thought I'd leave with something from the other company. I don't think most of the readers here want me to repeat that story. I will say, however, that what I needed was new equipment to use online at home. I had been used to doing that with Braille and Speak. I had liked the portability and freedom it offered, not to mention its long battery life. When I saw the Braille Note and the price, I asked to see something without the braille display but with a braille keyboard. I figure either rightly or wrongly that I should be able to add accesseries as I need them and can afford them. I did buy the disk drive and don't see why someday I can't buy a display if I ever need one. I have what I want for my purposes at home, and it fit my wallet better. (grin.).
