I thought that you could get a pcmcia adapter for your pc as I was sure it
was discussed on this list way back when, (like 2000 or 2001) but when I
went hunting I couldn't find anything so I bought an 8 in 1 card reader
that just sits on my desk and plugs into the USB port. it takes CF and SD
cards and probably heaps of other too. I can either just put the CF
(compact flash) card straight from the back of my BN into that, or I can
also put the CF card into a PCMCIA adapter and put it into that slot on my
BN and my laptop.
