[Braillenote] old motherboard

Hi all. I'm wondering if version 5 and or 6 will work with the old
motherboard. I do have the memory upgrade. I currently have 4.01, and when I
inquired about the price for a new board, and the new software, I was told
$1195. I know that technology changes, but having only have my voice note 2
years, I think that this price is quite high. Is version 4 the last version
that will work with the old boards?
