Dear Stacey, Here are the advantages of creating ASCII text files by default:
1. You can read the files on a PC. You don't have to export them. The disadvantages are: 1. All your indents, special formatting, font changes, and so on will disappear when you close the document. 3. Place markers cannot be saved. 4. KeyWord may not "see" the text document unless you press read with x so all files will appear. Usually, ASCII text files aren't hidden, but there is always the possibility that a file could be hidden. I wish Keyword was set up so that "all files" was the default instead of "all documents."
