Hello Deon: Toshiba makes a good PCMCIA 5 gigabyte hard drive that works well with the BrailleNote family. And it sells here in the U.S. for about $150.00. The company I bought mine from was Good Deal PC, but their website seems to be down. I also use mine to store the complete set of U.S. maps in one place and have about 700 megabytes to spare.
The only drawback I've noticed to the drive is that the BrailleNote seems to lock up and require resetting more often, but it's well worth the small inconvenience. Perhaps one of the other list members can give a source for this drive. hth Jeff
