I believe you are a QT user, so I can answer your question.

Assuming you are creating a text file to be translated into braille, here is
what you do.  To have the BN translate numbers and math symbols into correct
braille, you must press control shift b for braille translation settings,
and press c for computer braille.  At the end of the math, you'd press
control shift b then the number 2.  Even if you press control g c and type
the numbers in computer braille, they won't translate into correct braille.
The BT folks can use dot 4 in front of a symbol, but we can't do that.
