Hello Derek,

Here is a slightly paraphrased possible explanation I have for you from our
wonderful Development team.
If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Does your printer ignore the characters in question or print the incorrect
character?

We rely on the printer containing the fonts
necessary to print these characters and access to these via one of the
supported code pages. When
printing from your computer, the fonts used will be those on your computer
which are sent to the printer in a
graphic rendition, rather than those on the printer itself. It may be that
the printer does have the right fonts, but these require a different method
of access.
