Josh, you asked about this on January 32, so here is the information, hope it 
helps a little bit.

     A battery will run about 20 hours before going flat.  If the battery gets 
down to about 10%, you have approximately two hours of battery usage.  If your 
battery is critical, you have approximately 30 seconds so make sure you go back 
to Main Menu so no data is lost.
     Discharge your battery every so often.  You should calibrate every two to 
three months.  It doesn't help the battery, but it keeps the gauge accurate.
     1.  Fully charge up the battery.
     2.  Unplug AC Adapter.
     3.  Press Space with O (function with O then Space with dots 2,4 (read 
with I.
     4.  Press the letter F.  You will see, "I'm talking until my battery goes 
flat.  This repetition is enough to drive me crazy.  How about you"?
     5.  If you are wanting to exercise your braille display, just press X.
     6.  When your machine shuts off, plug your AC Adapter back in.
