Is the computer on when you're trying to connect? The computer has a
magnet. The computer transmits radio frequencies. The computer's
casing is made of metal. The fact that your house is made of brick
will be a factor when you want to connect to anything that is outside
the house. Are there internal walls that are made of brick? Is there
a fireplace between you and that other room you spoke of?
