Hi, gang: Now that things are up and running again, I thought I would talk a bit about downloading large files. Now I'm talking about files, between 700,000 KB and 1 MB in length. These would be things like large books. I've downloaded a lot of these, and I've learned a few things, such as: wa. Always erase your temp files before downloading a large file. Otherwise, the BN might lock up on you. 2. Remember: If you have anything but the PDI homepage set as your homepage, the BN is going to go back to PDI as a default. This means you're going to have to do a reset, because, otherwise, you won't be able to use the Intgnet. 3. To save space, you might want to export this file as a BRF document. It's smaller than a Keyword document. 4. Delete stuff you don't need, like copyright info, or, if you're working on "Moby Dick", the wonderfully exciting chapter, in which Melville describes the Great White Whale! Those are just a few things, about downloading large files. God bless. Bob and Maxy-wax
