Hello Tessa: I also use CDEX for ripping files. I rip at 44,100 and 128 bit sample rates. I have also had some success with 64 bit samples I think. Because of their size and the nature of ActiveSync, these can take forever to copy/synchronize. Unless you are using the Ethernet port as your medium (the cable between your VoiceNote and your PC), these files are being transferred at serial speed.
A better solution is to use a compact flash card. I use several 512 mb cards for carrying my music and they seem to do the job. BTW, are you the Tessa that was at Seeing Eye in January of 2002, if so, write me off list. I'd love to hear how you and Vangie are doing. Jeff [EMAIL PROTECTED]
