Hey, all.  I shared Richard's comments annonymously with a friend not on
this list and he brought some things to my attention which I want to share.
First, computers are very forgiving, never chiding us for mistakes, always
patient, always ready to have us try again and again.  They are always
positive, going in the direction of helping their controllers.  They are
always true to themselves and their operating systems.  They get sick less
than we do and are always willing to get help.  We may never as individuals
harness even a majority of their power and features but computers are always
ready and competent to do what we ask and are always willing to go to
whatever depth we want.  They never push us, however, to go beyond our
comfort zones.  Also, artificial intelligence is off and running, has been
for some time.  Beth
