I think there may be some confusion as to which kind of flash card was being
asked about. A flash card that only holds data has a ridge on the edge, and
this ridge faces down, or toward the surface on which the BN/VN is sitting. A
flash card that is used on a wireless network--or a WiFi card--has a ridge as
well, but this ridge faces up, while the flat side faces down. The Wifi cards
are also quite a bit larger than ones used to store files.
I like to keep my WiFi card in an adapter in the side slot so I can still close
the case.
