[Braillenote] ActiveSync question

I am currently using the BrailleNote QT with KeySoft 5.1 build 22 and 
ActiveSync v3.71. build 4034.  I am running on a Windows XP with service 
pack 2 installed and am having problems connecting to ActiveSync with an 
ethernet card.  I have the CP ethernet card recommended by Pulse Data and 
have followed the proceedures to connect via ethernet (i.e. I have followd 
the steps outlined in appendix D section D1 "Instructions for Setting Up 
Networking" and still no luck.  What am I missing? This worked fine with 
Windows 98 so I am assuming there is some issue with Windows XP.  I am also 
using a Linksys Broadband Firewall Router
model BEFSX41Firmware Version: 1.50.18

Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  This list is great!
