Hi,

The transcriber's course has 20 lessons. It starts at the beginning with
grade I braille. All of the braille rules must be followed exactly. If you
make more than 3 mistakes, you must do the lesson again. You must have the
exact cells per line, at first, it's 38 and then it changes to 40. If you
are brailling with a Perkins brailler or board slate and stylus, no erasures
are allowed. Every cell possible in a line is to be used, so you must
hyphenate words and know when and where to hyphenate. If you use a PC and
embosser, the lesson must be embossed correctly or you do it over. Your
lessons will get lost in the mail, so when you hear nothing from your
teacher, you must find out what happened to it. If the lesson never
arrived, you must do it again.
