Hi, Sylvia and list. I have a suggestion that might help this email problem,
but first: I have to laugh when I hear messages where people who haven't
received their 6.1 upgrade think that all of the bugs will be ironed out if
they just wait a little longer. Folks, Keysoft 6.1 was finished somewhere
around mid January. If you wait until next July, it will be because you are
somewhere down the list, not because PDI has been hard at work revising 6.1.
Hopefully, we will see a 6.2 soon that will address some or all of these
problems. But until then, try this. What I am suggesting comes straight from
Dean Jackson.
In the dictionary folder, there is a keylist.ksd file. I think that is the
name. Dean sent a message to me concerning this last week. He suggested
deleting it as it holds some of the email settings. Next, in the keylist
folder, there is a hidden file called email folder.cdb or something close to
that. Find and delete that as well. Now, I took this one step farther and
deleted and recreated my email account and my configurations in the
connectivity menu. I recreated one for wireless lan, one for regular lan, one
for modem and one for cell phone.
Lastly, I decided to do a j k l or 4 5 6 reset for those of you with a bn.
So far, this seems to have fixed my email hanging problems, but of course, only
time will tell. But so far, so good.
Dean also suggested this except for the j k l or 4 5 6 reset, but before I did
that, I kept getting a mail drop busy error. After the reset, things worked.
Give it a try.
