Yes, some viruses use the DOT E X E (sorry, I spelled it out for speech
users) extension. Most viruses attach themselves to E-Mails, Outlook and
Outlook Express are Microsoft products that GET HIT by most of such viruses.
As I understand it, the BrailleNote is NOT PRIVY to viral attacks and I
suppose the reason is because IT DOES NOT support third-party programs.
Having said that, please that NOT ALL EXECUTABLES are viruses. The Windows
Operating System software contains several executables that MUST BE RUN in
order for the software to be installed correctly.
