You can use the 3650 as a modem.  I use the Nokia 6600 which is kind of like
the big brother to the 3650.  Since you have (At least I think you said you
have), GPRS through your cell company, you're half way there. Yes, you want
to use "Hayes compatible on infra-red"  for your port choice.

For most cell phone providers, at least here in the U.S., an initialization
string is required to access GPRS.  In order to insert this string, you need
a different template for your directory of services entry which adds an
extra field for the initialization string. Hopefully Dean or Jonathan is
watching the list today and can tell you where to get this directory of
services template and how to install it.  I spend the last few minutes
looking for that particular email and it is not on my system.

Now, in the actual directory of services entry itself, the user name and
User password can be anything as they seem to be essentially ignored by the
system.  You, of course, will need all your correct email names and
passwords as well as your ISP's server information to fill out the rest of
the entry.
