Now why didn't I think of the notes?  Between this and Peggy's earlier 
suggestion, I should now be able to do what I want.

Hi all,

Why not put the Todo list in the notes field, then you could copy
sentenses to the clipboard and move them where you wanted them by
going to the next day's notes field.  Remember that the notes field
must be added at the end of a regular appointment or you will get the
'all day' flag.  You can still edit your 'all day' thingy, I think by
using the block commands.  I'm going to have to try this, see if my
theory works.  If it does, I'll post the results here.
