Looks like this is indeed in the manual, although I recall myself looking for it for several minutes before finding it sometime back. But, I can't say that I've always gotten it to work reliably. Guess it just takes practice to learn just how long to hold down those keys. Anyway, from the main menu, press the letter h with backspace and enter to bring up the user guide. Then press i for index. Then press the letter s several times until you get to startup and press enter. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ALGAYZAG" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "BrailleNote discussion list" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 11, 2005 7:59 PM Subject: [Braillenote] turning on with braille or speech
I notice that the braille getting started material that came with my PK describes a method for turning on the unit with braille only or speech only using dots 2 and 3, but the manual doesn't seem to include a method for doing this, and the method described in the braille version doesn't work. So is there a way to accomplish this?
