In your directory of services settings, what is your modem set for? It should
be hayes compatible on com1.

Subject: [Braillenote] no carrier

I just got my brand new
cable for the new samsung n 400
phone and I keep getting the message no
carrier regardless of what I try as far as modem settings go and my last sanyo
phone worked right away and I've checcked all my connections. does anyone know
if you have to do anything different with the vision phones that sprint has? I
wouldn't think so but I don't know that for sure and I've reset the phone and
turned it on and off. any ideas would be great this certainly should be the
right cable for me and I doneat remember what i did in the past which. I've
had thisroblem.
>every there any kind of different initialization strings I can put in and
>where would i get them and how would i do that? or, would ieed to activiate
>the web browser or e-mail on my phone first and then connect it to the bn
