Hay Lisa, simply get yourself a real good book and turn your bn on and let
'er rip and that will be the sanest way in the world to run the battery down
and the most enjoyable too.
I very rarely use that running the battery flat. I figure if I have to run
the battery flat I might as well enjoy it while I am doing it.

It sounds like your battery gage is not accurate. I'd try activating the
battery drain mode, until the unit's battery goes completely flat. At
that point, charge the unit for several hours, to give the battery time to
charge.
