Hi, Lisa and list: What we have here is not a pronunciation, but, rather, a
translation, question. The problem, Lisa, is that you're writing in a Braille
file, Keyword type, format. When you do that, it says the letter all right,
but, when you hit the spacebar, it says the word for which it stands., as in
"C, space, can". To change that, you change to a different file type, such as
"text document, key^with type. Here's how you do that.
1. From the Main Menu, hit W, to put you in the Keyword menu.
2. Next, hit C, to create a file.
3. Choose your drive and/or foldg, and press Enter.
4. now, hit Backspace with X. You are now given a list of file types. Your
default file type is probably Braille file (Keyword type.) You don't want that
one!!!
5. To cycle through the list, repeatedly hit backspace with X. The next type
you should see is "text document (keyword type.)" That will work, so hit Enter.
7. Now, give the file a on, and hit Enter. It will tell you that it's a text
document; computer Braille is required, and that you're at the top of the
document.
As the kids write in the file, it simply repeats the letter, after the Spacebar
is pushed. Believe me, it's not as complicated as it sounds. You can save
that file, and make it the one the kids have fun in. Kinda the adaptive
technology version of the sandbox, eh? Hope this helped. God bless. Bob and
Maxy-wax
