Rhonda;
How many hours does it take for the whole process and can I use braille
instead of speach so I will not disterb others?
I was thinking of charging it over night, at work, and with the braille
display, let it run down at my desk. It looks like I would have to charge it
again to get usage of the battery. This will be my first time, so I want to
be sure and do it right.

Subject: [Braillenote] Calibrating the Battery

Josh:

A battery will run about 20 hours before going flat. If the battery gets
down to about 10"%, you have approximately 2 hours of battery usage. If
your battery is critical, you have approximately 30 seconds so make sure you
go back to Main Menu so no data is lost.
Discharge your battery every so often. You should calibrate every two to
three months. It doesn't help the battery, but it keeps the gauge accurate.
1. Fully charge up the battery.
2. Unplug AC Adapter.
3. Press Space with O (Function with O), then Space with dots 2-4 (Read
with I).
4. Press the letter F. You will see, "I'm talking until my battery goes
flat. This repetition is enough to drive me crazy. How about you?
5. If you are wanting to exercise your Braille Display, just press X.
When your machine shuts off, plug your AC Adapter back in.
