Definitely, not! I would suggest turning off speech and use the braille
display only. Using braille only has two advantages: (1) you can
concentrate on listening to the people speaking at the meeting and (2) your
battery will last longer.

If you happen to be at a public meeting, taking notes, turn off the
Braille display which feels as if it is slowing things down, and rely
solely on speech, using a pair of headphones or a single earphone. The
keys appear to be able to be operated at a greater speed with the speech
on and the Braille display off, without any of the jumbled-up words
problem. Dean might say that this is a tactile illusion, but you can only
try it.
