Hail, all UK GPS Version 2 Users ... I've recently bought my GPS Version 2. I've been looking forward to creating and reviewing virtual routes in advance of travelling. But I haven't been able to file even the simplest route. I've read the entire nearly-seventeen-thousand words of the Users' Guide, and got as far as registering my own address as a virtual position. What I've then tried to do is to create a route to a cited POI, which i've registered as my destination. I thought I'd filed a pedestrian route, only to find there didn't appear to be any information concerning anything between my home address and the selected POI. Having had several goes at this, I kept finding the same; until, that is, my original 4 Points of Interest were reduced to none at all. Could anyone give me an idiot-proof guide to creating and reviewing virtual routes (probably off-list would be best!), , please ..."
I should say that the Compact Flash Card I was sent did have to go back for reformatting. Is it possible it still isn't properly formatted? Also, does anyone know how long Magellan batteries are supposed to last, what sort they are, and how to get at and replace them? While I'm fully aware that PDI is a commercial company operating in the open market, I must say that from the standpoint of a blind person trying to make my way in the world and having to fork out my own money for its assistive products, I do feel a little aggrieved at not receiving any training in the use of my GPS upgrade for the whack I had to whack out to obtain it! Anyway, help from someone more practiced and proficient would be much appreciated, if anyone has the time. Thanks in anticipation. 'Bye for now, John Goddard.
