Hi Josh and others,

I think exercising the display from within support information mode probably 
does the most good.  It helps to maintain a clear path for each dot to rise 
through 
the plate,especially if the dot is just slightly misallighed or the hole is 
somehow not quite right.  

I've had the problem a few times, but after exercising the display, I haven't 
had the problem again.  

Apparently it's strictly a mechanical thing.
