Chris And Listers,
It is not just the Braillenote manual that is confusing. The file manager
is by far the most confusing feature to use on the Braillenote. Negotiating
file structures in Windos, UNIX, Linux, and DOS is a breeze compared to that
in the Braillenote. When I need to perform file maintenance, I open an
Active Sync session between the Braillenote and my PC and perform that file
maintenance on the PC side.

I hope to see a functional file manager in an upcoming release of Keysoft.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger

Subject: [Braillenote] files and directories

Lisa,
Check out the manual, starting at Section 13.13.
If this seems needlessly complicated to you, it does to me also.
One layer in, they're called folders; but two or more layers in, and they
suddenly become directories, only accessible by switching to "directory
mode" by pressing space with t.

Also, somewhere in this section of the manual, an instruction says to press
the "left arrow". I assume this was missed during the editing process, and
means to hit backspace.

I think PulseData should decide whether to call these things folders or
directories exclusively, and keep it simple, as it is on a Windows-based PC.
The last thing we need is an implied dycotomy between simple users and
folders, and the world of more complex directory structures for the "power
users".

Just my $0.02
Chris
