You can't do that especially sense they're going to be hard ware changes, 
you can't skip a step.

    Terri, my thoughts were like yours.  I thought as long as you had the
new motherboard, even if you were only using 4.2 that you could upgrade.
Not true, according to the lady I spoke with at Pulsedata.  She said you
cannot buy 6.1 unless you have purchased 5.0.  Who knows?
