Hi Deon, I need to clear up some confusion caused by some of the replies to your question.
There are two parameters that determine the make-up of an MP3 file. The bit rate is the compression level of the MP3 file. This can be from 8 KBPS all the way up to 360 KBPS. The issue you're dealing with is the sample rate. Many sound cards have a limitation in that only standard sample rates are supported, IE 11025, 22050 and 44100 hz. The BrailleNote supports all of these, so it sounds like the book vendor in this case is using a nonstandard sampling rate. I copied and pasted it into a folder on the PCMCIA card and tried playing it. Have I got to go the tediously slow way of ActiveSync?
