Many thanks for your prompt response.

Here in the UK, I'm using a Widcomm Bt device, but it's now quite old, so
perhaps as you rightly suggest, it mightn't expose the Activecync service.
Activecync doesn't appear in the list of local services under my Bt
configuration, which is where the PK manual advises me to check, so I'm
tending to think the problem is indeed with me and not at your end. I wonder
if it would be worth my while going to the manufacturer's site to see if
there are any upgrade drivers etc? Am I right in thinking that they could
have updated this to expose the Activecync service?

This is another thread I didn't get to answer before commuting to the

Someone had problems with performing a 123 reset and installing KeySoft.

Please ensure that dots 123 are held down till the second sound is heard,
i.e the chimes.
