Mary Ellen EarlsRemember! Today is the Tomorrow you thought about yesterday.
Yes you read this correctly. I am definitely not going to go into the
Braille Lite is dos and Pk is windows stuff but I have to say I have had my
pk for 9 days now and when I go do things on the Braille Lite which started
this whole computer obsession off 10 years ago, I find myself hitting the
edge of the machine looking for the enter key and the action on these
machines is so different. I had always thought the Braille Lite was so much
easier to write on than the Braille 'n Speak but after having written on the
pk for 9 days I find it very stiff, almost like it doesn't really want those
keys pushed down. Rather like playing a piano with a very stiff action over
one with a loose action.
I, for one, really love the configuration of the pk's keyboard. It is
extremely natural for my very small hands and as I said the other day, I
wonder why it wasn't thought of before now?
Anyway I have not received the gps part of this wonderous machine but no
doubt when it comes, you will hear all sorts of things out of me. I was
happy to sling the pk over my shoulder and took a cab to do erands like take
one package to UPS and the other to FEDEX so we did quite a bit of running.
It was rather lovely to look Fedex's address up in the address list and tell
the driver what it was than to have him go on a merry chase.
Anyway I am ever so pleased I bought this machine and hope Humanware really
takes off with it because it is a powerhouse just waiting for potential.
