I think the quickest setting is the default which is zero. I'm not able to get to my BN at the time of this writing so haven't checked it out. When I do so, I'll be back. Go to options menu, select braille display, look at the various options under braille display. If you find that setting, experiment with it and maybe that is the source of your difficulty.
