I find that the volume on the Media player is not very loud, even at its 
loudest. It's good for it to be softer when I'm doing other tasks, but when 
I just want to listen to the PK in the living room with no other tasks 
running, I wish it could be turned up a bit more. I have used the 4-6 cord 
to raise the volume, but that doesn't help much.

that is only possible in the braille note pk due to the different hardware
