Laura, Interesting you should say that the battery needs to be recalibrated at least every six weeks. I recalibrate mine every three months or so, give or take, and my unit works great in that respect. Also, it says in the manual that a battery should need recalibration much less often than every two months. Maybe you have a funky BN battery, or a funky manual?
