I would suggest never to format a CF card from the BN. I hope you had success with formatting from the PC.

If they were the card reader and pc would not be able to read them. Then they should first be translated into a readable format for the pc. Because of that, i prefer not to store keyword documents on the cf card. Keyword text in any event takes up more room than ascii files. So one actually saves space if you convert documents to txt and it could be read anywhere.
