Upgrade Procedure for KS3.07 or earlier. First of all, press reset with 1,2,3. You will be placed in the 3.07 version. Ensure the BrailleNote is plugged into the AC Adapter and switched on, and the Compact Flash card provided is inserted in the card slot on the back of the BrailleNote. On your BrailleNote, go to the Utilities Menu, then Applications Program. As described in the Utilities Chapter of the user guide, select the file called "pdiboot" from the root directory of the Compact Flash card. At the prompt, "Command line?" press ENTER. You will hear a welcome message. Press ENTER. After a brief pause, you will hear a completion message. Press ENTER again as advised. You will hear a "swoosh" sound followed by three "blings". After a pause the BrailleNote announces a welcome message and asks: "Are you ready to start the upgrade?" Press Y for Yes. You will hear messages about converting databases, then one about removing old files. When this is complete, there is a message about what happens next, and asking if you want to continue. Press Y. There are constant beeps letting you! know that the upgrade is happening. These rise in tone.
