Hi ann,

Okay, here's what I do and it works every time.

First of all, I set up the activesync connection using the serial port. You
need to be sure that check for serial port is checked in activesync connection
settings.

Okay. The activesync connection should work when you establish the connection
for the first time.

Now, let's say I want to use that same serial port to connect and use the bn as
a braille terminal.

The first thing I do is to be sure activesync has disconnected. Next, and this
asumes you have activesync running in your system tray, go into activesync
and connection settings and uncheck the box which tells activesync to check the
serial port.

If you don't, your braille terminal won't work.

Finally, after you are through using the bn as a braille terminal, you need to
disconnect the bn or maybe just turn it off. Then, restart your screen reader
so
the drivers won't load to use the bn as a display.

Finally go into the activesync settings again and check the box which tells
activesync to check the serial port for a connection.

Then, you should be able to connect using activesync.

This sounds complicated, but it actually is pretty simple once you've done it
a time or two.

Hi all,

This is an interesting thread. I used the BN as a terminal the other
day via serial. Now, I can't get my connection to Activesync. Do I
need to tell it to ignore the port and restart or what. I didn't
realize this was so complicated.
