Dear List,

I discovered something interesting which made me wonder about the size
of the memory buffer of the bn.
Based on Jonothan's advice I decided to rather take my cf card out
before switching the unit on. The previous time when I used it, I left
the curser within a document on the cf card. However, when I switched
the unit on, without the cf card, I was still in the document which I
thought was only stored on the card and not returned to the main menu,
as I have expected. As I was in the book reader, I decided to
experiment on whether I'd be thrown out of the document when I start
reading, but I wasn't and it read exactly from where I left off the last
time. I went to the top of the document and then to the bottom, to see
whether the whole file was there and all 87 pages were. As it's tv
schedules for a month, I used the find command to locate the present
date without a hitch too.

Does that mean that the file is actually copied to somewhere in a buffer
on the unit itself as soon as one enters it? If so, it will perhaps be
possible to save such file e.g. on one's flash disk, without even having
the card on which it is stored in the machine.

Regards
Riana
