this is why the ability to create macros is so helpful to compress multiple 
steps into one.

Wish PDI would implament this for this reason and many others.  I  use them 
extensively in real word processors.  
No! You don't need a template for this one.  You could just create a separate 
document called email signature, write in everything that you want then after 
wwiting your email, at the end of your email use the block commands menu, 
selecting insert a block and then follow the prompts and finally inserting an 
email signature.
