Hi Jerry,
 You've pointed out just one more reason why I suggest you remove flash
cards
 before turning on your unit. This is a known bug, and you are right, you
 should always press N, so that the card is not formatted. The other reason
i don't recommend having cards inserted in the unit upon
 turning on your Bn/Vn is because it causes the unit to take an extra few
 seconds to boot up and display the "card inserted" message. if you turn on
 your unit and then insert the card, you will get the same results faster.
