doug, the answer to both questions is yes. You will need a network card. You can probably get it at Office Depot or you can order it online! they'll be around $100 to to $150 depending upon how much research you do. You could also as Jonathan said install a wireless network and get a wifi card for your bn. now, please, take your time and make absolutely sure that wat we say is correct! You can try talking to your local cable company's tech support and then go from there. now you will have bluetooth when you upgrade and there will be many new changes. Soperhaps you may wish to read the Braillenote PK's manual? it talks about this stuff and it might give you a better idea. If you want that manual, send me a message and I'llsend it off to you.
