Patty; Don't feal bad. I am new at the BN also. I think of the main uses for computer braille as, e-mail adresses and web adresses. If there is any other purpose, you will be notified on the BN. It will say computer braille is required. If it is not one of these reasons, stick with grade 2 braille. Get a copy of the computer braille code from NBP and everything will be fine. Terry Powers [EMAIL PROTECTED] see my e-mail address is in grade 2.

You know you can get a pamphlet from NBP with the complete code for free! Just call and ask and you shall receive. Capital sign is dot six in grade one or grade two braille. but in computer braille it's the coma. Isaac the dummy! On Thu, 17 Feb 2005, patti wrote: > Hallo everyone. I'm confused about something. When you write an email message, do you braille in computer braille or grade 2? I always thought it was comfuter braille, so it would transfer correctly for someone reading on a pc. However, last night i happened to have my speech on as i was typing a message and as I hit dots 4-6 it said italics, not peeriod. When i write the low D as a feriod, it says period. same with comma which I thought was dot 6 in computer braille. And what is the computer braille capital sign? Nobody has ever told me my punctuation reads wrong, but a blind person reading with speech wouldn't necessarily notice it, and print readehs may assume that I'm just a lousy jypist. Help, cuz I feel like a real dummy. > Patti Cutler > > > ___ > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote > ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
