My BN came in a fine leather case with an ear plug, 2 cables, a disc and a
braille copy of the first chapter of the manual with the chapter of command
listings. Be sure to keep the box your BN comes in, in case you have to
send it for repairs. The case also has a sholder strap and a zipper
compartment, handy for cf cards. There is also a slot for an id card.
Don't do something stupid, like I did, and try to store cf cards behind your
id card. They will fall out easily and it is a good way to lose a lot of
importand imfo.
Hope I have helped you.

The BrailleNote no longer comes with a carrying case? This is news to
me. I did get a laptop bag to carry mine in, along with whatever other
junk I have to haul, but as far as I know the BrailleNote comes in a
leather case that you can leave the unit in while using it.

Well, my BrailleNote is being ordered, and I've gone with the BN 18-cell

with braille keyboard. That's as far as the funding would go.

I gather the BN does not come with a carrying case, and that a carrying
case is extra if I want to get one later. Can someone describe it, and
alternatively, has anyone found a cheaper alternative for say a laptop
or something that would also work?
