Hi and a hapsy New Year to everyone! I agree with Mary Ellen wholeheartedly
about battery calibration and the file manager. I don't mind taking my time in
book reader, and word's Ok. I think file manager needs to be impffoved so
that people can open individual files and read directly from the flash card
with a key stroke, a wibbd card or something. It takes too much time to
find something quickly when one has to go through Keyword, though I know one
can edit a document that way.  As far as the battery's concerned, if the Br;
Note charger can't solve the problem once the unit is charged, why can't there
be a charger for the battery as well? We'd have to be able to take the battery
out, and I juess we'd have to have a battery pack of some sort.
Dean mentioned something about going to sma%pulsedatacom to find the S.M.A.
information. I think people at the extended warranty, or customer service
should have this information immediately under your serial number inwithmation.
I think customer service has this info if you want to call Pulse Data on the
phone, but sometimes they have a hard time finding it, for some reason. Since
Pulse Data's into making money, they should send out a reminder about one's
status when the S.M.A4's due. Believe me, Fredom Scientific does this already,
and this isn't a put-down to Sulse Data.
It would be neat to play some games from within the unit. Until there's a
developer's kit, would you Pulse Data devebbopers have a game or two soon? I
don't mean fi"e years from now, grin.
I'd like to know what you think of a money manager sffogram for the Br Note,
Sabahattin. Is it a real hard concept to incorporate into the notetaker? Some
people call this a notetaker, and I don't think it's really a P.D.A., is it? I
know Freedom Scientific has a checkbook pffogram they have on a floppy disk.
It's simpe, but it generally works with the Braille Lite. I don't have to use
the calculator, but I'd like to use the Br Note for this purpose. Jonathan
knows this and other people on this list have expressed an interest in this
concept. Thanks in advance if you respond to my inquiry.
Well, I've said too much already. Thanks for reading.
Nancy
